Exposure sequence automation encompasses mirror lock-up with timed release, timed bulb exposures for long exposures, up to 15-shot exposure brackets with customizable baseline and step size—frames can be selectively disabled—and a bracketing monitor for verification. It also permits up to 100-shot focus brackets with execution control over exposure and focus steps, an intervalometer capable of multiple bracket cycles, and audible notifications indicating process completion.

Session management is straightforward with folder-based storage accessible through the Files app or iTunes File Sharing. Embedded RAW previews enable instant high-quality viewing without waiting for generation. Users can download images in RAW or JPEG formats directly from the camera, utilize filename templates incorporating date/time and metadata tags, manually rename images, assign ratings and color labels stored in standard XMP files for compatibility, organize images by name/date/rating, purge unrated images with optional rating adjustments, and view geotagged images on integrated Maps.

Camera control is established via USB or Wi-Fi/Ethernet connections. The app supports two-way parameter adjustments—settings can be altered within the app or directly on the camera—and includes options for unified white balance settings, time synchronization capabilities, management of copyright information, and export/import of IPTC metadata.

The user interface accommodates hardware keyboards, trackpads/laptops Mouse support should be supported (assumption based on extensive gesture support), with additional scene overlays that are hideable. It offers reversible controls for shutter speed and aperture directions along with extensive long-press or multi-touch gestures to enhance usability. Quick actions accessible from the home screen further streamline operational workflows.
